No RSVP necessary. Applications will be available starting on January 24, 2013, and are only available at the Open Houses. Open Houses take place at the school site, located at 1919 S. Burnside Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90016.
Must attend an Enrollment Open House to enroll your child. Applications will be available starting Jan. 24, 2013 and are available at Open Houses.

Thursday, March 7, 2013 – Application Deadline
Applications must be hand-delivered by 6:00 pm or postmarked by Thursday, March 7, 2013 to be included in the 2013-14 lottery. Late applications are put at the bottom of the wait list.
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 6:30 pm – Admission Lottery
If the number of students applying for admission exceeds openings available, enrollment is determined by a public random drawing. All students who have applied by the deadline will be included in the lottery. The lottery is open to the public, and will take place at 1919 S. Burnside Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90016. Enrollment preference will be extended to siblings of enrolled New LA students, children of board members, founders, teachers, and staff.
Friday, March 22, 2013 – Admissions Letters Mailed & Emailed
Admission letters will be mailed and/or emailed to families selected in the lottery. Wait list letters will also be distributed at this time.
Friday, April 12, 2013 – Enrollment Deadline
If enrollment forms are not returned or postmarked by April 12, 2013, admission is forfeited and an admission notice is mailed to the next student on the wait list. Attendance at an enrollment orientation will be required.
April–September 2013: Students Admitted from the Wait List
Students on the wait list are notified by mail, email or telephone if a space becomes available.
Admission to New Los Angeles Charter School (New LA) is open to any resident of the state of California. New LA does not charge students tuition and does not discriminate against any student on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender or disability. Applicants must be entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in September 2013.
